The Importance Of Maintaining Individuality Over Communality Politics Essay

The Importance Of Maintaining Individuality Over Communality Politics Essay Keeping up your uniqueness is a higher priority than being a piece of a gathering since bunch personalities and the gatherings contrasts will in general be the reason for choices an individual may make as a resident. Gatherings who center around a particular belief system have unmistakable contentions and address a specific crowd. A large portion of the individuals from freedom belief systems, for example, dark freedom, womens freedom, gay freedom, local people groups freedom, creature freedom and freedom religious philosophy center around ones personal responsibility taking on too slender a view as opposed to advancing the perspective that is for everyone's benefit. Individuals in these gatherings would settle on their choices with respect to who may best lead the nation or what laws ought to be authorized or opposed dependent on an applicants sex, strict convictions, race or sexual inclination, and not as a resident thinking about the best situation for the lion's share. These gath erings settle on their choices in light of the fact that on their gatherings personal matters and avoid the individual perspective. In the event that these particular gatherings need equity, at that point they should think as individual residents in light of the fact that in the United States, residents are equivalent under the steady gaze of the law. As expressed in our reading material pg. 252, our official courtrooms and different foundations ought to be oblivious to race, ethnicity, and different types of gathering distinguishing proof. Nobody ought to be given uncommon treatment on account of their race or parentage or ethnic alliance. The personal responsibility normal for unique gatherings is additionally found in the extremist and Nazism belief systems. Both of these gatherings are against independence and class divisions. They were just for one country or one preeminent race, as it were, one gathering. Hitler accepted that his Nazi way of thinking about the German individuals (the preeminent gathering) was progressively significant then the 6 million Jews who did nothing to him, yet he had them murdered. The fundamentalists conviction of everything to benefit the country express, a solitary chief and single gathering can be found in the present day Moammar Gadhafi system in Libya. The Gadhafi system was not advantageous to the entire country in light of the fact that there were imbalances among the residents of Libya who have now revolted and are taking a stab at majority rule government and individual opportunities. I feel that majority rule government is based on the presumption that things are valuable to th e network all in all, and going to an agreement is conceivable, however it falls flat if the exceptional gathering is just paying special mind to #1 and doesnt care about whatever else. So if every individual would take on the liberal philosophy perspective which is to accept that the individual is the best appointed authority of what is to their advantage, so every individual should be allowed to live as the person in question needs insofar as they don't decide to meddle with others opportunity to live as they need to live. The belief system of progressivism advances singular freedom by endeavoring to ensure equivalent chance to all individuals inside an open minded society. With the chance of uniformity, an equivalent balance, the separation dependent on race, religion, or sexual orientation would be evacuated and individuals would be able to make their own progress, on the off chance that they embrace a liberal perspective. So why at that point would it be important to join a gathering to accomplish indistinguishable open doors from you could have keeping up your distinction? 3. Autocracy is a political belief system which lifts up a country over the individual and is going by a solitary chief of a concentrated government which through controlled power smothers any restriction and controls the state economy and social conditions. Despotism is a decent type of government in light of the fact that the country is all the more impressive and feasible through ages who are bound together by their basic conventions and their promise to manufacture a superior life. Totalitarianism which is established on the residents obligation and a people selflessness potentially even demise can accomplish the genuine estimation of a man as an individual from his family, social gathering and country, in light of the fact that the individual has no importance outside of their country. Extremism authorizes order and uses power to form mens characters and confidence. One party rule asserts conventional qualities, for example, family esteems, strict confidence, nationalism, social structure, respect, and customary difficult work. Autocracy is a philosophy of request and compliance where individuals fall in accordance with the single authority, and don't address or censure the State which ensures the nation runs easily, using state spending and guideline of companies. An extremist government establishments open works projects to fabricate scaffolds, channels and streets, clinics and schools just to benefit the country state. An extremist government is sorted out on the hypothesis that legislature ought to be controlled by delegates of the different focuses of intensity in the state, for example, Mussolinis strategy of corporativism. What one party rule is about in a monetary sense is the security and guideline of free enterprise through private proprietorship as the methods for creation for the country. Despotism utilizes the intensity of the country to ensure and to balance out the economy by bringing the significant industrialists into an arrangement of participation with one another so monetary clash is decreased and through their collaboration soundness is accomplished. A model would be for a decision committee to be created and incorporate mechanical pioneers, association agents, strict pioneers, and military work force. Having these pioneers of intensity fused into the administration, accomplishes a quick accord on issues all the more quickly when a nation needs to sort out for a war or catastrophe alleviation. The country can likewise become independent if the legislature has power over creation and their benefits. One party rule controls organizations from assembling their items in remote nations for a lower cost and afterward selling that item in their own nation at a greater expense and making a benefit. Likewise continuing assembling occupations at home will give work to the countries individuals, lessening government assistance and making a solid economy. Under extremism, responsibility for is left in private hands, yet the administration manages all organizations taking quite a bit of their benefits and utilizing them as the legislature chooses, for example, new streets, emergency clinics and schools, just to benefit the country state. The extremist framework will likewise finance and manage horticulture so as to accomplish national independence. Another bit of leeway of an extremist government is in the battle against psychological warfare. The country controls the military under one pioneer and when required, it is anything but difficult to have the pioneer conclude that the military will control and work everything and everybody that enters the nation. Additionally wrongdoing in the country can be enormously decreased, on the grounds that the military can be utilized to watch the lanes and authorize acquiescence. Genuine opportunity for extremists is in serving the state and doing ones section to advance the states force and greatness. One method of doing this is to make independence of the country through a solid military. To make a solid military, the country advances science, arithmetic, and designing in schools so as to grow better researchers who will be utilized to manufacture better weapons for the military. These companies are given subsidizing from the State. Thusly, the State will create the most trend setting innovations on the planet, having the most exceptional weapons and going about as a blast to the economy by giving an enormous number of employments, making individuals cheerful and reinforcing the help for their pioneer. Since the State assumes a significant job in the economy, the State ensures and advances enterprises which are indispensable to State interests. Additionally in light of the fact that a fundamentalist government controls the economy, joblessness is decreased and social government assistance projects can be founded, for example, social medical coverage. So to make an incredible Fascist state, it is straightforward; accept, obey and battle, against the adversaries of the country and this will carry greatness to ones individuals as a main force on the planet. 5. As a traditionalist, I feel our privileges originate from God and not the administration. So subsequently, government ought to be restricted with respect to what it does to take care of a countries issues and the genuine accentuation ought to be set on the person to tackle the issues through conventional American qualities, moral obligation, singular freedom and free markets. So with that premise set up, I might want to investigate a portion of the accompanying issues from a moderate ideological point of view versus a liberal ideological point of view. Nonconformists accept a lady has the option to choose what befalls her own body, including prematurely ending a pregnancy. Dissidents additionally accept that the administration has the obligation to secure human rights. I, as a preservationist, accept human life starts at origination and that premature birth is murder of a person. An unborn infant is a living individual and has separate rights from those of their mom, in this manner the administration ought not utilize citizen dollars to support premature births, as wanted by dissidents since that would not be ensuring the human privileges of the unborn, exceptionally dishonest of nonconformists. Along those equivalent lines, nonconformists need to authorize willful extermination. Neither fetus removal nor willful extermination ought to be legitimized as it is indecent and untrustworthy to purposely end the life of an in critical condition individual or an unborn person. Taking an honest life or that of a withering individual is mur der, a capital offense in the United States, is deserving of death. Dont the nonconformists get it? Where is the ethical code that is important to support a free society? On the off chance that, dissidents can legitimize utilizing deadly power finishing a guiltless unborn life or a defenseless older resident. This doesn't appear to correspond with genuine Liberalism. Dissidents bolster cover acquittal for the individuals who enter the United States unlawfully and need the undocumented migrants to reserve the option to instructive and medical advantages that residents get. As a moderate, I dont need to stop individuals who move to our nation for a superior life and bene

How to Start a Common App Essay TKG

How to Start a Common App Essay The hardest part of any writing project is the first sentence. Staring at a blank white page can be terrifying, especially when the stakes are as high as getting into your dream school. One of the things we do at TKG is guide students through writing stellar college essays, but there are some things you can do at home to help you get through that initial rut.Bullet It OutWhen you’re first mapping out what you’d like to say, bullet points are your friend. Make a list of what soft-skills and personality characteristics you want to showcase in your essay (things like creativity, kindness, or tenacity) and start creating sub-lists under each one with stories that come to mind when you think of those words.Write an Elevator PitchKnow what you want to say, but unsure of how to say it? Try writing a 1-sentence explanation of your essay starting with “My essay is about…” Include key details and a few plot points without turning it into a run-on sentence. This is all about being con cise!Map Out the Details We are huge proponents of thinking small. Big “boom”-style essays may seem great in theory, but the admissions office will learn the most when the essay is about you, not some chaotic event that you get swallowed up in. Take some time to write the tiny details that will form the setting for your essay. Maybe this means describing the tree in your yard, the ceramic frog on your desk, or the way the glass on your broken iPhone screen scratches against your cheek.Write a SceneIf you’re confident in the details, try writing a scene. Not necessarily a play or film-style scene (although we’re all for that), but a scene like you’d read in your favorite novel. Where are you? What are you surrounded by? What is the weather, the time of year, the day of the week? Are people talking? If so, what are they saying?Stop Stressing About Word CountThe number one thing kids stress to us about before they even get started is word count. Yes, there is a max, but you s houldn’t be thinking about word count at all until you’ve finished your first draft. After that, you can scale up or cut down as needed. Until then, chill.Still stuck? Try one of these writing prompts to break out of your funk:Write at least 200 words answering one of these questions:What is on your desk in your bedroom? What is your first memory? When were you happiest? What is something you are excited about?Looking for more hands-on help? Essay on Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet - 1011 Words

Created in 1595, Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet is about two star-crossed lovers from opposing families who hold an ancient grudge. The theme is about love and hate throughout the play. Shakespeare built up the tension to Scene 5 from the start of Act 1 intelligently by, for example, building up the feud between the families. This build up of tension is essential to the context of the story and without this the play would not be as dramatically effective. Right from the very start, the feud between the Montague’s and the Capulet’s builds up impact and drama. For example, Tybalt said: â€Å"this is a Montague, our foe†. He says to himself: â€Å"O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright! It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night Like a rich jewel in an Ethiopes ear- Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear! He is also saying that she stands out like a snowy dove in a field of crows. He has said that he has never met a girl with true beauty until that night. Performance Enhancing Drugs in Baseball and the Hall of Fame

According to the dictionary a Hall of Fame is a building set aside to honor outstanding individuals in any profession. The Baseball Hall of Fame specifically is an American History Museum and Hall of Fame for Major League Baseball. There are however certain players who have not been allowed entrance to the hall of fame. These players may not have been allowed in for two reasons; the first is possibly because of their use (alleged or proven) of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs), or it may also be due to a personality issue. Having players who are widely considered the best to ever play the game not be in the Hall of Fame due to the mindset of people who report on the sport is not a fair or balanced system. Players should be allowed in based on what they did on the field and not what they did off the field. One of the underlying issues with the PED problem is that it does allow a player to gain more power with their hits. The extra power is not caused by the drugs directly, but b y the fact that the drugs allow them to train harder, longer, and have shorter recovery times than normal. Power hitters are always considered the elite player, which makes sense because most people want to see home runs. As one player stated â€Å"Home run hitters drive Cadillacs, single hitters drive Fords† (Solberg, Joe, and Richard Ringer). Gaining better numbers creates an increased incentive to start using PEDs. Main issues of these symptomsb. Analyzing the situationc. Addressing the issues3. What actions should Treetop Forest Products executives take to correct these problems? Answers: Introduction Reflecting upon the past experiences for an individual is one of the best activity. Reflecting ones own experience helps in providing the people complete analysis regarding their individual capabilities, talents, strengths and weaknesses (Torrente et al. 2012). This essay is based on a teamwork done by us, where we had to perform some strategical framework for a particular company. This group work has helped me by developing better communication skills, overcome conflict thoughts, maintain unity and with the motivation of performing better. Analysis This paper aims at reflecting the role that I had played in the group. It will provide with a critical analysis of our performance as a team as and as an individual. It can be confidently said, that our team had performed quite well in overcoming the hurdles of the firm, yet with some better organization skills, the results would have been more fruitful (Tims et al. 2013). The paper aims at commenting upon the team dynamics, communication process as well as some recommendations in order to improve any future group work. Our team comprised of four people, where we all had been given a particular role within the group. My role was of being a supervisor to the production process of the company. At first , I was not sure regarding my responsibilities and regarding the probability of performing well. When real life personality traits are aligned with the role played by an individual in simulation, it generates positive results (Nancarrow et al. 2013). For me, on of the challenges that I had faced during the process was to communicate with the individual workers of the company, thereby maintaining the effective work in the firm. Sometimes, I felt very uncomfortable in being abided by the motives of a team, as the other team, as each one had their own perspective and compromising was a prime challenge for all of us. This is one of the critical challenges that I had faced. Whereas, by performing these duties, it helped me to overcome my hesitation and made me realise that I can overcome these hurdles quite efficiently. One of the vital traits that I had to maintain while playing my role, was that of maintaining good communication skills. According to Mkikangas et al. (2016), It is quite important to maintain an effective communication system within the members of the team. There are times, when open agendas are presented within the team, while taking any decisions. By communicating each other ideas and views regarding a particular issue, resolving matters would be quite easy and successful in nature (Angell and Bolden 2016). My communicative style had been up to the mark. I had tried my best to maintain a good communicative approach with my team members. Our group had exchanged information with each other, quite efficiently. Most of the team, we had achieved our targets by maintaining a good effective dialogue, understanding and working as one team member, rather than being segregated. The second trait that I had maintained throughout my term as a member of the team was that of reliability. One can count on their reliable team member, that provides them with the scope to build in trust within the team framework. When there is unity among a group, various hurdles can be overcome easily. One can count on the other member, only when the other one is reliable enough. I our team of four members, we had to look after various aspects of the organization. I was considered as one of the most reliable team member, where I had to maintain all the record and statistics related to the schedule of our work. I had always been keen on achieving ideas and views that were based on mass knowledge. I never took any decisions that would be against the ethics of the business, or against the dignity of any member of our team or the organization. I had maintained the records and statistics with utmost importance and had provided the team with every single detail that had been prevailing w ithin the firm. This gave me the scope to build the trust for me among my team members, where they found me reliable enough to be dependent upon my decisions. As stated by Costa, Passos and Bakker (2015), Cooperation and flexibility among the team members have been considered as one of the most important traits of the members. I have learnt that how flexibility in a group would be acknowledged by all. One should not focus only on the tasks that has been allotted to oneself. It is quite important to be an active member of the group, thereby taking part in all the discussion that has been taking place (Gido and Clements 2014). This helped me to learn more regarding the objectives and perspectives of the organization and of our team. these attributes helped us to frame an efficient framework that would be helpful for the future performance of the organization. Another important that had been experienced by working under a team, was the opportunity to correct the issues within the team, that could help in decreasing the inefficiencies at work (David and David 2016). It helped in reflecting upon the challenges that were faced while formulating the strategies and how could these issues be resolved. Effective allocation of tasks and time management seemed to hinder the teamwork. It was noticed that, the team often found it difficult to allot the tasks to the team members. This was often due to conflicting routines, workloads and other necessities that were performed. This was considered as one of the basic drawbacks in our team work. It is often considered that allocating tasks to all the team members, makes the management of work easier and effective in nature (Schwalbe 2015). Yet, in our case, it was seen as just the opposite. In addition to it, it was noticed that the members were facing various problems of time management. There were vario us disputes that were prevailing within the association of our group, like meetings schedule, undertaking simulation activities, allocation of tasks, and successful completion of the tasks. These were the challenges faced by all the member of our group. Experiencing the issues mentioned above, provides me with an opportunity to recommend few ways of overcoming these hurdles, in order to have a successful team work in future. One of the ways of overcoming the problem of time management is to plan a routine beforehand, as that would give ample opportunities to decode upon the time table of each work to be carried out. Before implementing the plans, the members must sit together in order to make a routine of all the action plans to be taken into consideration (Costa, Passos and Bakker 2014). To overcome the problem of task allocations, the major traits of each member must be considered. Tasks must be allotted to the, members depending upon their source of interest. This would help the members to perform their duties with greater efficiency and accuracy. When they would be made to do a task in which they have personal interest, it would not be difficult for them to undertake the actions under the tasks adjoined (Kerzner 2013). These two recommendations can provide the future team work with the enhanced structure of performing a well maintained an organized group work. Conclusion Team work is one of the most important experience in an individual life, that helped the person in acknowledging their traits with regard to the responsibilities and sociable characters (Boud, Cohen and Sampson 2014). Reflecting upon the role that I had undertake during the group activity project, has taught me with valuable lessons and experiences that has confronted me with my strengths and weaknesses. This team work has provided me with a new set of knowledge and aspiration that would help me in my future projects. This project has taught me the true value of communication, reliability, flexibility and cooperative character, which has provided me with amole success during the simulation of the team work. Though I have been through various drawbacks of working in a team, but, with little support and hard work, all these drawbacks can be overcome. This project has helped me to overcome not only my individual attributes as a person, but has also enhanced my discipline specific knowl edge. Handwashing - Persuasive free essay sample

Think about all of the things that you touched today — from the telephone to the toilet. Maybe you blew your nose in a tissue, opened a door, typed on a public keyboard, or handled money. Whatever you did today, you came into contact with other people’s germs. Its really easy for a germ on your hand to end up in your mouth. Especially when the average person touches their face approximately 600 times a day or 3-5 times a minute, according to the Austin Urgent Care website. o Each new flu season we seem to be bombarded with endless suggestions on ways to keep sickness at bay: vitamins, herbs, sanitizers, vaccines–you name it. But the most effective way to prevent illness (which usually escapes us because it is so simple) is to wash your hands! o According the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, hand washing is the best way to prevent infection and illness. We will write a custom essay sample on Handwashing Persuasive or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page It’s easy, cheap, it doesn’t hurt the environment, and there is no question about negative implications for our own health. It’s a definite win-win situation. But that knowledge doesn’t have everyone running to a sink to clean their hands. Bacteria have exploding populations and can reproduce every 20 minutes. There are so many bacteria that you have more of them on your body right now than there are people in the United States. o Think again of all the things your hands have come into contact with today. Gross right? Most of the bacteria on your hands can be removed by simply washing them. (Slide) ? Activity (Slide) †¢ Home (Slide) †¢ Workplace (Slide) †¢ ATM: o A typical ATM has been proven to have more. The key difference in this situation is the number of clean versus dirty hands that touch each of these items (Slide) †¢ Airplane: this can be attributed in part to the frequency with which each are cleaned on a daily basis †¢ Washing your hands regularly is something we have all been conditioned to do since we were children. But according to the New York Times only about 82% of people actually wash their hands, and most probably aren’t washing them properly. According to the US Centers for Disease Control proper and frequent hand washing is the single most important means of preventing the spread of infection. †¢ Live Science. om gives some statistics regarding hand-washing practices of surveyed Americans: (Slide) o 83% wash their hand after using their home restroom. o 73% washed hands after changing a diaper o 43% washed their hands after petting a cat or dog o 21% washed their hands after handling money o 32% washed their hands after coughing or sneezing ? But as are well aware people tend to lie, especially about embarrassing things such as their personal hygiene practices. So these statistics are not necessarily 100% accurate. †¢ The Center for Disease Control recommends that we wash our hands before and after any activity, especially preparing or handling uncooked food and after using the bathroom. o I am going to share 2 studies with you done regarding hand-washing practices. These two studies really show the need for everyone in this room to become hand-washing advocates. The Lakeland Ledger, a newspaper in Florida, speaks about a study done by the American Society for Microbiology and the Soap and Detergent Association. They sent observers into public restrooms to observe hand washing practices at different venues around the country. They observed 6,076 adults. The venues varied from museums to aquariums to professional sporting events. o They found that 66% of 3,065 men they observed washed their hands. o 88% of 3,011 women also washed their hands. The final experiment I would like to share was done by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. This should really drive in the need for better hand-washing practices. o The experiment was done to show how much bacteria was on a person’s hand before and after washing them. They transferred bacteria by touching agar plates (agar is a nutrient that causes bacteria to grow faster). They were then left to incubate for 24 hours. (Slide) ? Unwashed fingers †¢ Dirty unwashed fingers contained so much bacteria the areas they touched were mass colonies (Slide) ? 20 Seconds cold water †¢ Removed particles of dirt and some bacteria, but millions were left. Not a very effective way of cleaning them. (Slide) ? 20 soap and water †¢ Reduced number but wasn’t enough to kill them all (Slide) ? 40 seconds soap and water Rather effective but still doesn’t get them all. The study suggests a full minute is best but the important thing is to reduce the number of bacteria on your hands. So 40 seconds is adequate. (Slide) ? Hand sanitizer †¢ No bacteria grew once a sanitizing solution was used. (Slide) III This is exactly why I have provided the information I have today. o The University of Georgia shows that 40 seconds – 40 seconds (to a minute) is all it takes to have clean hands. But hot water alone does not kill germs. According to the FDA hot water that is comfortable enough for washing hands is not hot enough to kill bacteria. The body oils on your hands hold soils and bacteria, so hot or warm soapy water is more effective than cold, soapy water at removing those oily soils and bacteria in them. IV. VISUALIZATION: Now close your eyes and imagine a world where dirty hands don’t exist. There would be no more missed school days, no more make-up exams because you’re slowly dying in your bed, no more excessive coughing and sneezing in cramped up classrooms, minimal cold and flu outbreaks everywhere and most importantly so much money will be saved because we don’t have to blow it all on doctor’s visits and Nyquil. Clean hands are possible in a world so full of dirt. (Slide) V. CALL TO ACTION: All I’m asking is for you to wash your hands. Take 40 seconds (to a minute) out of your life and clean them. o Think about all of the information I have provided. I urge you to take action and wash your hands, and also urge others to follow in your example and wash their hands too. Call people out when leaving the restroom and not washing, because your going to have to touch that door after them. ? Remember everything you touch is filthy and full of bacteria and germs from others who are not washing their hands. But we can make a difference. Because washing your hands can prevent you and others around you from becoming ill. Please, wash your hands. Thank you. References (2004). Germ survey summary of findings.

The Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare Essay Example

The Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare Essay Example The Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare Paper The Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare Paper Essay Topic: Merchant Of Venice Play Shakespeare reveals prejudice of a character with dark complexion with the very first line when the Prince of Morocco entered, Mislike me not for my complexion. We find a contrast amongst the two suitors with the colour of their skin. The Prince of Morocco was dark and the Prince of Arragon was fair. Morocco is both more elaborate and direct than Prince of Arragon and this is shown in the line How shall I know if I choose the right casket. This line shows us that Morocco was well concerned, interested and very curious to win Portia and for this he even asked several questions in order to clear his doubts before choosing the casket. We also see that Morocco prays to god in times of emergency (as he took an oath never to get married again) Some God direct my judgement. Shakespeare reveals the character of Morocco as a confident, self conscious and strong person who is very proud of his colour. The Prince of Morocco meets Portia and tells her that he is often considered very handsome on account of his black skin. He didnt want to be judged by his complexion because he was dark and explains that all the people from Morocco were like that. In those times however a dark person was considered to be the devils accomplice and he didnt want to be misjudged. The Prince of Arragon didnt defend himself in any way even though he was Spanish, as at that time England and Spain were constant enemies and even being an adversary he didnt mention anything. Prince of Moroccos boastful and flattery nature is seen in the lines, I would not change this hue except to steal your thoughts my gentle queen and the best regarded virgins of our clime have lovd it too. This clearly tells us that he is a very haughty and egotistic person. His achievements have been described through his boastfulness especially seen in the lines To try my fortune. By this scimitar that slew the Sophy and a Persian prince. He portrays to be a figure of great dignity, brave and noble even though he may be regarded as rather arrogant to when he uses the occasion in order to declaim his achievements at Portia. He thinks he is very intellectual and has very heroic qualities, which are flawless to marry Portia. He is also very vainglorious and proud and always trying to impress Portia by honorable and devoted marks like, Yea, mock the lion when he roars for prey To win thee, lady. The prince tries to act courageous and tries to influence Portia by his intentions. The Prince of Arragon didnt try to boast about himself but agreed to try his luck at the caskets without further ado. The Prince of Arragon, as his name suggests, is arrogant and proud like the Prince of Morocco. He considered himself to be superior to others as he said, How much low peasantry would then be gleand from the true seed of honour! He is revealed to be egocentric and narcissistic as he rejects the lead casket immediately saying, You shall look fairer, ere. I give or hazard. He felt that lead should look more attractive if anyone must take a risk for it. Both the Princes judged through outward appearances as Arragon said base lead and Morocco said dull lead Both of them made quick rejecting decision for lead. For Morocco lead was threatening and not worth risking anything for. He is attracted by appearances and was adamant not to choose the lead casket as he said, Must give! For what? For lead? Hazard for lead? A golden mind stoops not to shows of dross. This line tells us that he doesnt choose the lead casket and dismisses this subject quickly as he thinks lead has no value, it is a wastage of time and earning jeopardy if thinking or choosing for lead. By this phrase we also come to know that the prince can be imperious and patronizing when the lead topic is discussed. The Prince of Arragon rejects lead because of the ominous warning, who chooseth me shall must give and hazard all he hath. The Prince of Morocco took his time to choose the right casket so as to not making rash decisions as he said, I will survey th inscriptions back again. He also scrutinizes the inscriptions again and again. But when he came to woo her, he wanted to go to the caskets immediately as he was desperately waiting to win Portias hand. But unlike Morocco, Arragon was quick in making judgements. He went astray from the right path as from knowing that appearances are often deceptive he chose with a fond eye. Morocco did not approve of the word deserve in the inscription of the silver casket who chooseth me shall get as much as he deserves. He said that he knew that he deserved Portia as he said, I do in birth deserve her, and in fortunes, in graces, and in qualities of breeding; but more than these, in love I do deserve. He didnt want himself to be strayd no further by the inscription of the silver casket as he didnt want to lose Portia. He therefore, spurns the silver, which he feels is too base a metal to hold such a beautiful woman as Portia. He thinks there is a very likely possibility in losing his lady if he chooses the silver casket. He considers himself to be a suitable match for Portia because he is wealthy, he has fine quality, he belongs to a noble family and he has a high position in society. He also tries to boast about his courage in the line to prove whose blood is redder, his or mine . Even after all this effort to win Portias admiration he is deceived by appearances when it comes to choosing the caskets. His choice shows that how he judges by outward appearance, not considering how the contents of the gold casket might not be indicative of its appearance. There is dramatic irony when he says, graved in gold because in the light of the consequences of Moroccos eventual wrong choice he finds that the casket is a grave for it contains a skull. Likely, the Prince of Arragon didnt approve of the word many in the golden casket. He felt the word many would mean the stupid majority of ordinary people who judge simply by appearances, accepting what their foolish eyes tell them instead of trying to see and understand what lies beneath and thinks that gold refers to the foolish populace. He continued saying that people base their judgement and consequent actions on mere surface impressions. The Prince of Arragon uses a very suitable simile to prove his point when he compares them to the martlet (swift) that builds its nest on the outward wall of the building where it may get damaged or destroyed instead of choosing a more sheltered place. Later we realise that this speech is an example of dramatic irony because he too will choose with a fond eye. The Prince of Arragon is a snob smugly self-satisfied in his dismissal of the barbarous multitudes. Both of the suitors were over-confident. According to the Prince of Arragon, there are many suitors who consider themselves honourable and deserving but they do not really deserve the stamp of merit. Arragon clearly believes and said that he was born with the necessary merit to win Portia, and in his view merit and honour only belong to a highly selected few people such as himself. Since he considered himself to be worthy of Portia, he chooses the silver casket and that too an order to a servant to perform the task of actually unlocking the casket, to humble a thing for Arragon to do himself. He was shown to be confident when he said, Bring me the fairest creature northward born. All that he boasted was to show that he is quite capable of achieving anything he desires. His over-confidence is apparent when he says, deliver me the key and chooses the silver casket very sure that Portias portrait was within. He thinks that he is more than worthy enough for Portia and this attitude of his, troops his downfall for it is not the silver casket that holds Portias picture. Shakespeare has given a lengthy speech on each suitor on the casket they were going to choose. The Princes speak in blank verse through their presence, which only changes after both of them reading their scroll. Their reaction after opening the casket is similar as the gold casket contains a carrion Death, within whose empty eye there is a written scroll and the silver casket contains the portrait of a blinking idiot, presenting him a schedule. After the suitor reads the scroll or the schedule, his language starts to be similar with the contents read on as it becomes into a poetic form. Arragon is uncharacteristically struck-dumb by what he finds, a blinking idiot. To late he realises that he really doesnt deserve anything better than a fools head. This is symbolic, for he is an old man and hence is an idiot for thinking himself deserving of a young woman. Whereas Moroccos shocking expression, Oh! Hell! is not a mere expression of extreme annoyance but Morocco knew that if he had to keep the oath, he had to remain unmarried for the rest of his whole life, he faces a kind of living hell, deprived of the woman of his choice and also because he is a man not use to failing. Both of the princes were courteous, affable gentlemen who respected Portia. The Prince of Morocco is brought out to be a sole loser, as his pride disappears when he leaves saying, I have too grievd a heart to take a tedious leave, thus losers part. When he finds his hopes are dead, he welcomes frost and tries to keep up a brave and dignified appearance and we can see a contrast in the manner of his departure to the fanfare of his arrival. The departure of Arragon is similar as he said, Still more fool I appear by the time I linger here. He had come to woo with one fools head but had to go away with two. After reading, I felt sympathy for both the suitors who had come to try their fortune and unfortunately lost. Amongst both the characters, I liked Morocco more because in the way of departure it felt to me that he had come with a true heart for Portias love. I have more sympathy with him as he cannot marry any other woman and will have a life of a living hell as in later life he cannot share his happiness and sorrows with anyone. All the hopes he had come with were destroyed as everyone in his homeland was desperately waiting for their queen as Portia.

Role of Accreditation in Healthcare Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Role of Accreditation in Healthcare - Essay Example Research shows that accredited health facilities offer a high level of patient care and service than unaccredited institutions. In essence therefore, by accrediting health facilities, government and registered healthcare accreditation bodies are offering patients with a map on where and where not to seek treatment. Without accreditation, people seek healthcare services would easily fall for quacks, and in the process endanger their health. The second role of accreditation is that it acts as a basis for protecting and fighting for patient rights (Manley et al, 2008). What this means is that in case health provision goes wrong and harms a patient’s health, the patient has a basis for seeking legal redress. For instance, a patient can seek legal help through the accreditation body. Alternatively, the patient can enjoin the accreditation body, when seeking legal redress from an accredited healthcare organization. Without accreditation and clear cut rules on how healthcare facilities should handle their patients, it would be difficult for a patient to seek legal redress in case something goes wrong. This is because; there would be no set benchmarks against which, health care service is measured against. The third role of accreditation in healthcare is statistics, budgeting and government fiscal planning. What this means is that through accreditation, the government is able to collect variable data on the current status of the healthcare sector (Sears et al, 2015). For instance, the government can easily collect data from accredited institutions on the prevalence of lifestyle diseases like diabetes. It can then act on such data and come up with measures for combating such diseases. Without accreditation, it would be difficult to know how many healthcare facilities are in operation leave alone collect valuable healthcare data from them.

Argument paper Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

Argument paper - Essay Example With the increased cases of crime in society, people have lived in so much fear as they fear any impending attacks and bombings, which lead to many people dying. Through the increase in the number of criminals, imprisonment is not only enough to deter the criminals and that is the reason why the judiciary enforced the death penalty and enacted it as a way of eliminating permanently the criminals and reducing their numbers. Many of those who get out of prison after long years of imprisonment often commit other bigger crimes and hence, it would be better if they were killed, because they end up killing even more people. Therefore there is need to protect the innocent and wipe away the perpetrators of crimes to humanity. The best way is through the death penalty, as other forms of imprisonment are not deterrent enough. In addition, death penalty will enable people to be more careful and appreciate the right to life for every citizen. Additionally, the sanctity of life will be maintained , as they will strive to preserve their own lives and avoid capital punishment. Therefore, it is a punishment for those who take away the lives of others, since the same measure needs to be taken against them, and i.e. they are to be killed too (Mandery and Mandery, 2011). Furthermore, various huge taxes are used to finance prisons and feed murderers in prisons, which are not fair at all since the money needs to be channelled to improve the lives of the poor who are at the mercy of the criminals. In carrying out life imprisonment, the society has to bear high costs with regard to maintaining prisoners with long imprisonment terms for crimes that prompt capital punishment. There is no doubt that the up-front costs of death sentence are relatively low, however, the alternative fronts significant maintenance costs over time (Guernsey, 2009). The financial and economic costs of maintaining a prisoner serving life are astronomical to the tune of $50000 a year, which is more than

Social Media And Its Effects On Society Media Essay

Social Media And Its Effects On Society Media Essay When talking about Social Media most people will probably just frown at you, having absolutely no idea what youre talking about. A remarkable reaction considering that more than a half of these people probably use Social Media themselves. Just simply clicking on a video on Youtube for instance, already makes you part of the huge community that Social media has and you dont even need to be registered! By watching a video, it will get more views which will result in a higher view-rate and therefore, the video will gain more popularity and catch the eyes of more viewers. Having that said I dare bet that every Internet-user is or has been part of the Social Media community. Yes, even you. Because, admit it, have you ever watched a video on YouTube? à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦ So I thought. Social Media is however more than just YouTube. The experience goes much further than simply watching movies on the internet and that is exactly what captivates me. How can one kind of Media become so huge in such a short time? How is it possible that both companies and private-individuals use the same medium on different ways? And, more importantly, why is it that Social Media is still expanding instead of fading away like most of the hypes we know? Let it be clear; Social Media is one big, important and yet complicated format which we know little about. Time to dig a little deeper! First Ill start with discussing the definition of Social Media thoroughly. Only when knowing EXACTLY what it is, well be able to understand what makes it so interesting and vital. Secondly, Ill be digging a bit in the history of Social Media. How did this new medium come to be? Did it just appear out of nowhere or did it take a while before it caught the eyes of the public? Third, Im going to investigate who use Social Media and why? Ill split this question in two sub-questions for you; Social Media used by private-individuals and Social Media used by businesses. Knowing what Social Media is, how it came to be and who use it and why, Ill be able to think of the influence Social Media has on our society. Is social media really that important, or do technophobias have nothing to fear? After concluding whether Social Media has a big or small influence on our society, Ill look whether I can confirm this conclusion by looking how much is invested in the world of Social Media. Finally, Ill be speculating about the future of Social Media. Will Social Media become vital for every company, or will it just fade away as hype? Welcome to the complicated yet most interesting world of Social Media. What is Social Media? 1.1 Social media as definition Social media is a group of Internet-based applications that build on the ideological and technological foundations of Web 2.0, which allows the creation and exchange of user-generated content. Kaplan and Michael Heanlin in Users of the world, unite! The challenges and opportunities of social media, business horizons (2010). In other words, social media is a new medium (it was, arguably, introduced in the second half of the 20th century), that allows people to globally interact through the media. It is a collective term for all the internet-applications that enable us to share and discuss information, not only in the form of text, but also through sound and video. But since social media is a collective term, you probably wont take my brief description for granted. You want to know the different forms that social media has and where they are to be found on the web. Take a seat. This may take a while. So, social media knows six different forms; communication, collaboration, multimedia, review and opinions, entertainment and brand monitoring. I will discuss each and every one of them. Communication is currently the biggest form of social media. Three very important aspects of communication are; blogs, micro blogs and social networks. Youve probably heard of them. Blogs are websites, or parts of websites, where people can write articles, columns, reviews, etc. Blogs are usually aimed at a specific subject. Basically, there are two types of blogs; commercial blogs and non-commercial blogs. Commercial blogs are mainly used by companies (doh) for a variety of reasons (for instance; promoting their product or getting to know the customer), but also by people who like to write, professionally, about certain subjects. Non-commercial blogs are mainly used by private-individuals, like you and me. These blogs usually define themselves as blogs written due to boredom. Usually, I said. A couple of known blogs are; WordPress, Bloggers.com and Open-Diary. Micro blogs are basically the same as normal blogs only they are much smaller. Micro blogs contain fewer characters and arent always aimed at a specific subject. Micro blogs are an excellent way for companies to make small announcements. Just like normal blogs, there are two different kinds of users (businesses and private-individuals, remember?) using the micro blogs. Known micro blogs are Twitter, Tumblr and FML (Fuck My Life). Social networks is arguably the most important component of social media (thank you, Facebook!). A social network is a big networking site where people can communicate with each other and share information. In a social network you represent yourself using a profile picture and by writing down a biography. That way, it is easy to locate people with the same interests which can result in an online friendship. The problem that this feature however brings is that the accessibility of social networks can also be seen as an invitation for perverts. Social networks are an easy way for perverts to hide their true identity and gain the trust of good-willed girls. And for that very reason, I dont blame parents for worrying sick when their children are uploading new photos on Facebook or other social networks. Undoubtedly, social networks are something to be careful with. Luckily, social networks, just like any other form of media, mostly support the option to set your private status to friends only, or to restrict certain areas of your Facebook for unwanted visitors. Its a great way to make your photos pervert-free. Communication however doesnt only consist of these three aspects, but also contains location-based social networks, events, information aggregators and online advocacy and fundraising. Location-based social networks are social networks that aim at geography. People can indicate where they are, when they are there and why they are there, which will all be shown on a big map. That way you will be able to see where your friends are and you to notify them about your current location. The events section looks, in one way, very much like the location-based networks. It also relies on a map, only in this case the map indicates where and when events are held, together with more additional information such as who are performing, what kind of an event it is and the ticket fee. Its a great way to stay up-to-date about your favorite artists and to not miss any appealing shows. Social media is used by more than 50% of the American population, and for that very reason it should come to no surprise that there are lots of different sites with reference to social media and they are all very crowded. Amongst the common social media users there are celebrities, publishers and developers writing their thoughts down and making announcements. Social media is a huge center of information and it didnt take long till information aggregators were introduced to the market. Information aggregators are sites with big, huge dashboards that gather information from all social networks. The last part that communication knows is advocacy and fundraising. I believe AF is a rather peculiar element of communication, because its usually integrated in other social media (mostly social networks). The main goal of AF companies is to raise as much money as they can for charity. They do this by advertising on other sites and by striking up partnerships. Especially live broadcasting sites such as BlogTV and Stickam attract AF companies. Where communication specializes in a belonging community, collaboration is recognized for its involvement with other sites; sites that fall under the collaboration category usually gather information from other sources. The six aspects of collaboration are; wikis, social bookmarking, social news, social navigation, content management systems and document managing and editing tools. Wikis are a perfect example of sites gathering information from other sources. Take a look at the end of a Wikipedia page and you are high likely to see a list full or sources. For instance, when looking up social media the most famous wiki; Wikipedia, gives me this; Wikis are generally known for their reliability because they make use of the knowledge management system, meaning that every user can contribute to the site by creating and editing articles. That results in a huge database. Another social database that collaboration knows is social bookmarking. Social bookmarking collects links of all kinds of sites and then categorizes them. Users are able to rate (or as I like to call it; digg) and share the links. That way people can easily find good, reliable sites that fit their interests. Known social bookmark sites are; Stumbleupon, Delicious and Google Reader. Social News looks a bit like social bookmarking; it also works with a rating system. Unlike professional news sites however, people write their own news on social news sites. Readers have the ability to vote on articles; deciding what is important and what isnt. Social news sites are obviously a magnet for information aggregators. For them its like killing two birds with one stone; social news sites contain a lot of information and the community already picks their favorite articles. Known social news sites are Digg, Newvine and Reddit. Social navigation, content management systems and document managing and editing tools are the lesser known social media components of collaboration, which comes quite a bit to my surprise because social navigation and content management systems can actually come in quite handy. Social navigation, for instance, provides information about the public transport, and content management systems is a software-application that simplifies the complicated code-language of the internet for common users like you and me. In the case of social navigation, Im guessing that mobile phones and global positioning systems are preferred by todays customers because these are more frequently used in vehicles. I dont blame Document managing and editing tools for being little popular though. They are online (free) writing tools and also allow users to share their documents with the Interwebs, but why would anyone want to share their articles randomly with these tools on the internet? Most of the articles that are published on the internet are published not through document managing and editing tools but through own websites. The documents are usually written in Word. Multimedia is a term you have probably already heard of. It is generally favored by the youth. Multimedia can be divided in five aspects; photography and art sharing, video sharing, live casting, music and audio sharing and presentation sharing. Its very common for multimedia sites to be used for other kinds of social media. Think of it; multimedia sites are perfect databases to store your pictures and videos because they can easily be linked in your articles thanks to embedded codes. Though the names already give away where the aspects actually function for, I have decided to explain them anyhow. As you probably have already noticed, I like being as thorough as possible. Photography and art sharing are, as the name already says, sites where people can share pictures. They serve as a great way for people to save (and optionally; share) their photos and find other photos. Since (mainly) blogs dont have a lot of space, photography and art sharing sites are very popular places for bloggers to upload their pictures on. They wont be bothered with the limited space problem and wont risk the chance of having the original photo removed so that only a dead link will remain. Video sharing basically have the same principal as PAs only do they specialize in videos except for pictures. Especially Youtube is a very important component of the video sharing aspect. Video sharing is used by both private-individuals and businesses. Private-individuals use video sharing mainly as entertainment, but also as outlet or gateway to show their own talents. Businesses use video sharing for promotion by uploading videos about their brand (mostly funny commercials or trailers). Remarkable is that most live casting users are also pretty popular on video sharing sites such as Youtube. Many famous Youtubers (like Davedays, Shanedawson, Zushoo, Creepjeepers) are featured on Stickam and BlogTV (two of the biggest live casting sites). Apart from their scripted shows they sometimes like to just randomly entertain fans on liveshows. Live casting is also often used as live streaming device for important shows. If people cant attend certain events for any reason, they will be able to follow it live at home. Music and audio sharing is an aspect of collaboration that specializes in sounds. On these sites, users are able to customize their own playlists and check out other playlists. It is a popular concept for radio broadcasts because their audience are most likely music fans and appeal to this market. Presentation sharing is mainly used by companies. Sharing presentations is a great way to take information up in an interactive way. Especially for teachers, presentation sharing can come in handy. Its a great way to reach the modern generation of students and still educational. Despite the fact that most people write reviews and opinions on blogs, there are still a couple of sites fully dedicated to the reviews and opinions category. The RO category has but three aspects; product reviews, business reviews and community question answer. Lets start with the beginning; product reviews are sites where the community can give their opinion on certain products. Its a really nice way for people to know what product to buy and what not. Business reviews are practically the same as product reviews, only they dont contain the opinion about products, but about companies. Is the service any good? Are they reliable? Etc. The problem with business and product reviews however, is that questions HAVE to be business/product related meaning that if you have any other questions, you have nowhere to turn. Thats where the community question and answer comes in. Community QA sites are sites where people can ask whatever they want and the community will answer. Yahoo!Answers is a well-known QA site. As Ive already said, entertainment is very popular with todays generation. The entertainment category consists of; media and entertainment platforms, virtual worlds and game sharing. Media and entertainment platforms is probably the least popular form of social media from all kinds of social media we have, because they play mostly behind the scenes. They are used by older companies who arent yet integrated in the modern society and allow them to digitalize their products/marketing strategies. Virtual Worlds on the other hand are pretty popular and used by a large amount of youngster. Virtual Worlds are basically online games like World of Warcraft, the Sims Online and Second Life. Players are able to create an imaginative character and play in a fictional world, where they can meet other people. But hold on a minute, you might think. If online games are part of the virtual worlds, then why is there another subcategory named shared games? That is, because shared games support browser-based games instead of downloadable programs. Shared games are usually simple flash-games, made by the community, and all playable on one big site. Virtual games, on the other hand, are usually huge, downloadable, professional games and its creators will dedicate themselves towards one game. At last, we have arrived at the last category; brand monitoring. Brand monitoring knows only one form, which is social media measurement. Social media measurement is an indicator that provides information about the internet traffic. Companies use it in order to get a good insight in their costumers; where are they from, how old are they and what are their interests? Its a great way to get to know the customer I think. So, that was chapter 1.1; the definition of social media and honestly, I wonder whether you still know what content managing systems are without looking it back up. Its a whole lot of information, I admit, but necessary information all the same. All I have done now is given you a good idea of what social media is and what we count under social media.

Difficulities in the Play A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry Ess

Difficulities in the Play A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry In the four years between 1861 and 1865 this country was in civil war over the rights and freedom of blacks in America. When all was said and done, the blacks won their freedom and gained several rights that would make their lives better. Nearly one hundred years later, in 1959, Lorraine Hansberry wrote her great play, A Raisin in the Sun. It described the everyday life of a black family in the Southside of Chicago sometime after World War II. Throughout the play, Hansberry talks of the difficulties that the Younger family faces trying to get from one day to another; the problems that should have been resolved by the Civil War. Even after the Civil War and this play, many of these problems still exist today. The first difficulty that the Younger family faces is poor housing. The play starts off in a small two bedroom apartment with Ruth waking up her son, Travis, who sleeps on the couch in the living room. He sleeps on the couch because one bedroom is used by Ruth and Walter and the other by Mama and Beneatha. Every morning they wake up early so they can get to the one bathroom that is shared by all of the other families that live in the complex. When Mama talks about putting a down payment on a new house, Ruth says, ?Well, Lord knows, we?ve put enough rent into this here rat trap to pay for four houses by now? (p. 1817). When she says rat trap you would naturally think of some of the houses today with boarded up or broken windows, unattended yards, and streets that are covered with potholes. But in the movie, it is nothing like that. The movie depicts the apartment in a very livable way. You can say they made the best of a bad situation. T... ... over this and it was decided by the Civil War the blacks should have their freedom as ?full? American citizens. When will we be able to live as one community? ?The history must be taught, and if not in schools then at home. But that won?t or can?t be done until our home life, our families, get back on track. Its a vicious cycle. We still have a long, long way to go.? (Lee p. xivii) Bibliography: Hansberry, Lorraine. A Raisin in the Sun. Norton Introduction to Literature: 7th edition. Ed. Working capital: In 2007 and 20 08 working capital of Bextex ltd. was negative. That means; current assets have been lower than the current liabilities. So, the company was in a risky position in terms of liquidity. But from 2009, it started to be positive and the company is in a stable position. 2. Current ratio: This ratio expresses current assets in relation to current liabilities. Current Ratio of bextex ltd. is highest in 2009 which indicates that the company has higher level of liquidity and it can meet short term obligations. But during 2007 and 2008 the ratio had a smaller value than one, indicating that Bextex ltd. had lower liquidity to meet its short term obligations. However, over the following years; Beximco Textiles managed to solve this issue. 3. Quick ratio: The quick ratio is more conservative than current ratio, because it only includes the more liquid current assets in relation to current liabilities. Beximco Textiles Ltd. reached its peak in 2009 in terms of quick ratio but yet again it dropped in 2010. Apart from that, there has been a steady improvement in this aspect. 4. Activity Ratios: a. Working capital Turnover: working capital turnover indicates how efficiently the company generates revenue with its working capital. Bextex ltd. was in the worst situation in 2007, that the ratio was -24. 11; this ratio was negative in 2008 as well. The main reason behind it was that the current asset remained lower than the current liabilities. The negativity in this aspect simply depicts that the company took a very high amount of loans during those years. Yet, the operations were efficient enough to improve that risky position over the years. b. Inventory Turnover Ratio: Inventory turnover ratio shows the times  a company's  inventory is sold and replaced over a financial period. A low turnover implies poor sales and, therefore, excess inventory. A high ratio implies either strong sales or ineffective buying. During 2006 and 2007; the annual inventory on hand was way higher than the following years. Consequently, the turnover was high as well. During the following years; the management took new measures and managed to reduce the excess the inventory. However, the total amount of inventory in 2010 was higher than that of 2009. Yet, the inventory turnover almost doubled during 2010; which is a strong indication that the sales is increasing in number. c. Days Sales Outstanding Ratio: It indicates the elapsed time between a sale and cash collection. Bextex ltd. ad the lowest DSO in 2010, which indicates a better situation than that of the previous years. In 2007, the ratio was the highest indicating the efficiency lapse in cash collection during that period. 5. Cash Conversion cycle: This metric indicates the amount of time that elapses from the point when a company invests in working capital until the point at which the company collects cash. Bextex ltd. had 523. 12 CCC in 2006 which indicat es poor position and in 2010; they have decreased it from 523. 12 to 143. 36. So, it is a good indication for the company. Basic reason behind this positive trend is that; Beximco Textiles has improved the Inventory conversion and receivables Collection operations dramatically. Both the Inventory conversion period and the Receivable conversion period has been halved from the year 2006 to 2010. 6. Cash-Flow: Cash flow activities show that both the income from operational activities and the return from investments have been increasing over the years. The Payables are being paid out and the retained earnings are being reinvested heavily to increase the efficiency to a higher level. This can be a reason why Beximco Textiles have refrained from giving out dividends since 2007. References 1. BEXIMCO TEXTILES Ltd. (2007). Auditors’ Report 2. BEXIMCO TEXTILES Ltd. (2009).
